Advertising policy

Why this policy exists

People ask @askthisai for help. Advertising only works there if it stays honest and relevant, so every campaign is checked against these rules before it goes live.

Labelling

All paid content is marked as sponsored. We do not accept requests to present advertising as independent advice.

Not accepted

• Gambling, betting, lotteries and casino-style games.
• Adult content, sexual services and dating services.
• Weapons, ammunition and explosives.
• Drugs, including cannabis products, and drug paraphernalia.
• Alcohol, tobacco, vaping and nicotine products.
• Get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid and multi-level marketing, unregulated investments, trading signals and loans with hidden costs.
• Medicines, supplements or treatments with unproven health claims, including promises of weight loss or cures.
• Political, election and issue advertising.
• Counterfeit goods, fake documents, hacking services, and followers or engagement for sale.
• Anything unlawful where the reader lives.

Accepted after closer review

• Financial services from licensed providers, with their licence details.
• Cosmetic and aesthetic clinics, without results we cannot verify.
• Education and courses, without guaranteed outcomes.
• Apps and games, with honest information about costs and in-app purchases.

Content standards

• Claims must be true and supportable, and prices must show what the customer will actually pay.
• No false urgency, false scarcity or invented reviews.
• No content aimed at children, and nothing that plays on fear.
• Landing pages must work, match the offer and say who the seller is.
• No discriminatory or offensive content.

Sensitive information

Sponsored mentions are chosen by the type of conversation. We do not target people by health, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, political views or any other sensitive characteristic, and we do not build advertising profiles of users.

Review and enforcement

We review every campaign before it starts and may remove a mention at any time if it breaks these rules or causes complaints. Serious or repeated breaches end the relationship.

Reporting a problem

If a sponsored mention looks misleading or harmful, write to support@askthisai.net or send /admin in a direct message to @askthisai.
