Data we process and why

Legal grounds
We process personal data on the following grounds in Article 5(2) of the KVKK:
- (c) it is necessary to set up or perform a contract;
- (ç) it is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation;
- (e) it is necessary to establish, exercise or protect a right;
- (f) it is necessary for our legitimate interests, without harming your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Where the law requires it, for example for certain transfers abroad, we ask for your explicit consent.
Transfers
We transfer personal data to the service providers we work with (hosting, database, email, our AI and speech-to-text providers, and Meta for Instagram messaging), to accountants, and to public authorities when the law requires it. Some providers are located abroad, including in the United States; these transfers are made under Article 9 of the KVKK, relying on standard contracts or your explicit consent where required.
How we collect it
Electronically: through the website contact form, email, WhatsApp, Instagram messages and the contracts we sign with you.
Your rights under Article 11
- to learn whether your personal data is processed;
- to request information about the processing;
- to learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used for that purpose;
- to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom data is transferred;
- to request correction of incomplete or incorrect data;
- to request deletion or destruction of data under the conditions in Article 7;
- to request that third parties to whom data was transferred are notified of such correction or deletion;
- to object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis of your data;
- to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
How to apply
Send your request in writing, or by email to support@askthisai.net from the email address you have given us, including your name, contact details and what you are asking for, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. We reply free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If a reply involves an additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
